It′s a constant yearly struggle to keep the web sites making enough to live from, most times barely just enough . The Internet goes extremely quiet on weekends clearly proving many people use works computers for their email etc. Also End of July right through to October the Internet is extremely quiet every year never failing. I am always looking for sponsors (not pay per clicks) and have endless folk making regular requests that could potentially take me places as a poet.
Currently I am seeking any new publishers, not those who want me to pay them, we poets are well educated in publishing issues thank you. I can supply sound backing as to the potential evident from endless visitor requests and comments across our three sites.
Any publisher asking a poet to up front and part with their cash is not interested in them or their work, just their money. As with poetry competitions, asking you pay for entry most are a scam. You yourself could organise and run these honestly and make profit. Beware as many free competitions will also abuse your talents and work then try and sell you books and prizes simply not worth having.
Poet History and Site Overall Information.
Many of the poems and verses found here, are written while working formerly with charitable organisations this is where the original copyright ®© first originated from. As a poet I originally used to write for various charities and families in crises. Alhthough many works are registered to several charities, all poems and card verses are fully registered ®© to myself as poet and webmaster. I am recognised a "published poet in the UK and USA" with endless various works, across many varied agencies charities and publishers globally. I am also known and recognised under several pseudonyms and have been writing poetry for over 38 years now.
Many poems have been used in published material or journals at one time or another. Many through lectures concerning family support and various numerous, associated and related self-help forums where ever a poem has been published in a book we include the book ISBN numbers (ISBN = international standard book number)
In November 1998 as our local home web site popularity increased, we added some nice java applets to the poems converting them into online greeting cards. But this was only via continued request and demand of online friends, who were sending the poems and verses, out to their online friends, as actual greeting cards.
Web Browser issues
We find from testing and experience, that some Browsers load nearly all of our pages, there may be 1 in every 100, that may not load or a java script will not show or display. We have made any "scrolling text" fit for most browsers, although this has made the font appear to look slightly smaller in Microsoft Explorer.
Windows users should download and install a java machine to see the effects created by the java, and shockwave flash to read the poems
Some browsers make actual border line "colours" appear to look lighter than they really are pr as white
We set most fonts to show as basic system fonts, for most fonts used by web page creators, only work and show web pages as intended, if a visitor has that actual particular font installed on their own operating system. If you set a nice fancy font for say, size 5 to look really nice. And a user does not have this same font, on their computer then they'll see a massive standard font and every line in such a web page shown as broken over several lines, and it looks terrible indeed.
To make the web pages on any web site look much nicer in appearance, if you are using Microsoft′s web browser (there is a similar setting in most browsers) if you go to Tools Internet Options Advanced look for a box saying underline links. If you check this to hover all the underlines on the actual links disappear, and only show as you move your mouse across them. Makes the Internet look a nicer place overall.
History
What ever you read on this site, is direct from the heart, and inspired from my own or someone else and their direct life′s experience. Where does the inspiration come from? Maybe Angels fairies those in heaven former poets, empathy for others a heart knowing love pain and suffering and wisdom other than that it’s God or Jesus driving inspiration.
The Just Because categories are manly pages of, "simple sweet thought", inspired and provided by inspiration of every day Internet users - right through to the very rich and famous, (all throughout history). These particular categories were also, only added by our visitors personal requests.
People across the world, have indeed been married and many hearts and lives touched, as result of the words and pages within stored on this web site.
Life itself should be about, our own personal effort towards "leaving little footprints" heart imprints in other folks. If you′re doing as such, then you′re on the right road in Life′s journey.
This is "NOT" a business nor a moneymaking organisation although as a poet I am self employed and struggling financially. We don′t force you to suffer countless pop ups across the site, 2007 we changed and added advertising to help greatly with running costs. The sole revenue earned is from the Affiliates programmes that allow you to send a page/poem/ecard FREE, and

The odd occasional advert is from folk kindly paying for text ads. Sometimes it′s a real struggle financially, but living the dream to be recognised as a poet somewhere in the world of poetry, is sadly a hard one to travel. It′s sad but known that many poets are only recognised long after deaths passing has took them away to be a potential muse.
We only ask that you may choose to share our pages with your friends, simply so our work may be shared with countless others.
Today what visitors request, we try to provide. We do indeed listen to our visitors. Currently there are nearly 10,000 pages for you to enjoy across our three web sites. All Pages are made using a program called edit pad pro. Very similar to notepad, but this one opens and edits saves multiple pages and documents all in one go with one click.
I split the site by visitor request way back in time, there is also a separate more mature site that hold all our funny joke poems poetry ecards and greeting cards

The Walk of Life started out on a "Tripod.co.uk" web site a long time ago, then moved to "Angelfire" where as netscape.com was the original home of the just because cards. Back in those days the daily visitor totals were indeed spectacular. Due to there not being that many free greeting card web sites to be found online across the world.
But, with so many changes made to the Internet over all those years, we eventually merged the two sites, and have had to move into a domain, with a company, which offers both ourselves and visitors a truly superb service.
So we have to rely on the assistance of our visitors to point out any missed typing errors we may have made. As we truly use no fancy program nor spell checker, to make any of the poems cards or verses.
The floating banner′s are on "index pages only", and it′s "NOT" a bother to any one, other than, 'other greeting card site owners' themselves. There are NO forced pop-ups jumping out at you, anywhere on this web site, and most certainly, "none" that will open new browser windows "without" Your own given consent, and advertising as mentioned, is neatly placed across the sites so as not to be obtrusive to visitors
As 'NO ONE' has forced you to visit this web site and considering that this is a "totally FREE to use SITE", please remember this, before making complaint. Using the Internet does not give any visitor the given right to be demanding or critical to any web master or web site. Many webmasters today truly appreciate visitor etiquette, via email.
